Nursery
Trichoderma can confer both growth promotion and disease prevention with the same application.
Agrimm nursery products use some of the best endophytic strains that actively colonise the roots, by penetrating surface cells to induce a whole raft of other plant responses – effectively priming the plant‘s defence mechanisms known as SAR (systemic acquired resistance) and increasing photosynthetic performance.
Using Trichoderma at the earliest growth stage enhances seedlings to perform to the best of their ability and so we put together a programme that starts in the nursery and can be used whether you are growing from seed or cutting to produce resilient plants that thrive under field conditions.
Propagation
As a nursery programme, we use PlantMate Granular in the media and follow up with an application of PlantMate Greenhouse or PlantMate Drench in the tray at seeding.
This increases the Trichoderma bioactivity and can be used alongside existing conventional fungicides to improve seedling performance.
PlantMate Granular should be mixed at 1kg per cubic metre of media.
PlantMate Greenhouse is sprayed at 2g/L and can be used through the nursery spray bars into trays at seeding.
PlantMate Drench should be mixed at 10g/L and is best used immediately.
Inoculating the growing media and then reapplying at seeding is the best way to grow strong resilient seedlings that will thrive when they are planted out into the garden or the paddock.
Whether you are growing from cuttings or directly seeding into cell trays, the addition of Agrimm’s trichoderma increases callusing and root growth and can also reduce unwanted biotic stresses.
